Whew - So after about a week of research and forum posting, I finally got an answer on how to have a random image from the gallery displayed on my blog's home page. Before, I had used Gallery 1 and the code was really simple. After upgrading to G2, I was unable to locate the appropriate updates to the code. They're really not very complicated; they leverage the 'Image Block' plugin that comes with G2. If anyone is curious about how to implement this, please let me know.
